Southwestern Christian University

The motto of Southwestern Christian University is "Scholarship-Spirit-Service". We are a private, non-profit, regionally accredited four-year Christian university located on a beautifully wooded campus in the Bethany area of metropolitan Oklahoma City. SCU was founded in 1946 by the International Pentecostal Holiness Church and embraces the Holiness, Pentecostal, and Charismatic traditions. A growing Christian liberal arts university, Southwestern currently offers Bachelors degree options. Throughout it's history, SCU has sought to serve the kingdom of God by offering educational programs to Christians of various denominational backgrounds. The university has urged Christian ecumenicity in a commitment to the basic doctrines of historic Christianity. At the same time SCU feels it has a theological contribution and educational ministry that is unique to the heritage of its sponsoring denomination, the International Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Southwestern Christian University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, a Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.
